Original air date: January 4, 2016

Host Taylor Weech shares two interviews from summer 2015 along with news from this week related to the history of settlement, colonialism, and racism in the U.S.

The first, with Lucy Duncan, American Friends Service Committee’s director of Friends Relations, covers the ties between anti-racist organizing in the U.S. with Palestine solidarity work.

The second, with Chas Jewett, Indigenous Environmental Network and Dakota Rural Action organizer, covers the legacy of racism in the west and strategies for acknowledging and moving past it to solve shared human problems.

Both are paired in this show as a companion to the host’s art show, “Settled: Whiteness from the Wild West to the West Bank”, which opens Friday January 8th in Spokane, WA.
