Original air date: August 1, 2016

Host Taylor Weech interviews two Bernie Sanders delegates fresh from their return from the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Jesse Lewis of Seattle acted as communications director for the Washington state delegates and we spend the first half of the show discussing the convention, some of the wild and/or unfair things that happened there, her hopes and frustrations for working within the party, and the options ahead for Bernie supporters.

The second half of the show is spent with Sandy Williams, editor of The Black Lens News (blacklensnews.com) and longtime local activist, talking about her first and (as of now) last foray into electoral politics at the national level. She shares the widely felt frustration with the process of the convention—and an observation that extreme effort was put into managing Bernie delegates that could have been spent debating disconnections on party platform or other productive activities.
