Original air date: November 28, 2016

Host Taylor Weech splits the hour between post-election organizing inspiration and sharing local resources to support water protectors as the escalation of militarized tactics builds at Standing Rock, ND.

The first half of the show features a keynote speech, given at the 50th Anniversary dinner of the Community Alliance of Lane County by Eric K. Ward, longtime civil rights organizer and program officer at the Ford Foundation, on “Your Role in the Time of Trump”. Some notes on strategy are shared after, and reference past shows.

In the second half, local indigenous activist Jacob Johns stops by the studio to share information about upcoming convoys to Standing Rock, the needs at the camps, and the dire importance of supporting this struggle. One convoy leaves Wednesday, Nov. 30th and a veterans convoy leaves by bus on Thursday, Dec. 1st, both from Spokane. Information on vet’s convoy here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1530614220287770/
