“The Abortion Multiverse” zine

driving home from seeing Everything Everywhere All At Once on the same night the draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked to the public, the notion of an abortion multiverse became lodged in my mind. like Evelyn in the film, how many new possible worlds do we wrench into being with each of our choices? and what choices are as broadly impactful as those reproductive? this essay explores those questions through cultural reflection, interviews with some of my fellow abortion-havers, and AI-generated art by me and the machines.

my last zine project was a real joy and i got to have in-depth conversations with so many of you who read it and wrote back. that is my intention with writing beyond broad publication and fame, though those would be acceptable on the side. like Coincidence, this project is a fundraiser, this one–fittingly–to benefit the NW Abortion Access Fund. orders are open now (by donation, you determine how much) at the form below and initial orders will ship in march 2023.
